The Gran Reserva de Familia comes from extremely rocky, barren vineyards at the foot of the Andes, in which the vines have particularly deep roots. This is how very special, concentrated grapes ripen here. The wine has an intense dark crimson colour. On the nose you will discover notes of dark berries, underlined by black pepper, a hint of coffee and a fine oak note. On the palate it is full and concentrated, with well-structured and ripe tannins. It matured in French oak barrels for 12 months.

El Conocedor – Maule Valley Winery Renato Guerra
The potential of Renato Guerra’s Maule Valley Winery is one of the most exciting estates in the international wine world. The Maule Valley lies south of the traditional areas of the large Chilean commercial wineries and thus offers a much more balanced climate with warm days but cool nights. This increases the ripening time of the grapes on the vine and enables complex, profound wines that retain their freshness despite their strength.
Renatos Gut has 800 hectares of its own vineyards in prime locations at the foot of the Andes. No grapes are bought in and only the best of their own grapes are used for bottled wine production. The “El Conocedor” line is reserved exclusively for wines from the premium categories Reserva and Gran Reserva, for which selected barriques are cuvéted with great care and meticulousness.
